When you have a food spot or most other marks on your garment, press blu-tack on it firmly 20 times and you will see, that the spot will be either disappearing or be less visible.
Keep an eye out for wear and tear areas in trousers e.g. the fork (where the legs meet). Before a hole occurs, bring the trousers to Acumen and we will reinforce the fork in our quite unique way, so that you can get more wear out of your suit.
For colour coordination advice, please visit our store. (A free service).
Please feel free, to ask us any menswear related questions. It is very likely, that we know the answer. If not, we will do whatever we can, to find out.
Wear your suit one day and give it a day rest. That way you also prevent it from wearing out prematurely. The
creases will virtually drop out during the rest.
Delay drycelaning a suit as much as possible. Refresh it by hanging it outside (not in sunlight). If it needs a
press, ask the drycleaner to press it carefully, but do not dryclean it when it only needs pressing. Even ask the
drycleaner to spot clean if possible. If it is done carefully (feathered away from the actual spot, you will not
get a ring around the cleaned area).
When you travel, place socks inside the shoulders of your jacket to prevent the shoulders being crushed in your
suitcase. Place underwear or socks in the place where you fold over the jacket. The same principle applies for
folding your trousers.
To save space in your suitcase, use the cavities in your shoes for ties (rolled up not folded) socks or underwear
etc.
